- What do you feel like you learned this unit that you didn’t know before? I learned a lot about scientific articles and how you would write one as I have never written one before.
- What did you already know, but now understand better or learned more about? I became better at differentiating real graphs and articles from fake ones.
- What (if anything) do you feel like I wanted you to learn, but you still aren’t sure about? It would be scientific writing for me. It is just difficult for me to make almost every word so sophisticated.
- What are the strengths of your final project article? What are you most proud of? I believe my strengths are the graphs that I did for the article and the idea I used for the article. I am most proud of the amount of the introduction to my project.
- If you were to revise your final project article, what would you want to do differently? I would have wanted to add more scientific terminology because that was the paret that I struggled with.
- How would you describe or rate your participation/engagement in this unit? I would say it’s an 8/10, I have overall kept up with everything and handed it all in. But I could have put more effort into making all of the zoom meetings.
- What did you do this unit that helped make you successful? I used the resources provided by the professor like the fake scientific articles and her own videos on scientific writing and I believe it helped me write a somewhat successful article.
- What (if anything) do you want to do differently in the next unit? Attend more lectures would be the main thing I would like to do differently.
- Please complete the sentence: “This class would be better if……” we were in person, but its great as it is now.
- For you, how did this unit compare to the News Unit and/or the Humanities Unit? I found this unit more fun, mainly because the final project for this unit was the most entertaining project yet.
- What (if anything) from this unit would you like to discuss/think about/explore further? (either this semester or just in your life) I would like to discuss further on the topic of fake articles purposefully done in worlds like Harry Potter and Star Wars.
- What would you like to see in the remaining weeks of the semester? More projects like this one that gave us a great way to funnel our imagination and just go crazy with the writing, while at the same time keeping it relevant to the unit topic.
